Description
Khiva is an ancient city in the Khorezm region, standing on the bank of the Amu Darya river, with a history spanning over a thousand years. The heart of the city is Ichan-Qala, a UNESCO World Heritage Site rich in old mosques, minarets and palaces — the legendary, exotic living museum-city of the East. Today the city is home to around 100,000 people.
